The kids are playing great with one another this week. They even "fix lunch" together...Emma butters the corn while Caleb prepares the peas...

...and tomatoes!

Should Emma ever need to go spelunking, she'll be all set. She wears this headlight around the house. This was the day I turned off all the lights and she thought she was the coolest while "discovering" and "searching" for things while walking through the house... hilarious!

Different day, same story.
Emma saw Mallie asleep "sunning" on the rug, and thought Zaccheus (the pink cat) needed to join her.

Daddy's hat has been a favorite toy amongst the kiddos. This was Caleb's first time trying it out.

There probably won't be too many pics of my sweet girl on here in the next few posts...since she's potty training and all, she runs around the house in her big girl panties.

Caleb loves his veggies...

...and carbs.

Day #2 of cold-turkey potty training has produced GREAT results: no accidents and 5 successes!!! woo-hoo! She has had some fruit snack rewards and candy corns, and we watched 1 show. But as an "I'm so proud of you" gift, I gave Emma an empty bottle of "fragrance foam." This is complete trash to an adult, but was absolute bliss to my 2 year old. I haven't seen her so excited about any toy in a loooong time. She spent the afternoon/night telling me over and over, "I love this! So much!!!" and used it as an imaginary spray bottle, lotion, soap, and nail polish. She pretended to paint my nails purple. And I did hers too. :)

Showing off the bottle. :)

Dinnertime is proving to be more difficult these days... while Emma, Adam and I eat, Caleb watches. As soon as we sit down, he pretends (and YES, he is totally pretending) to all of a sudden be starving. We get the pout, above. For those of you who think we're awful, making him watch us eat...I do give him Puffs to eat while we do. But apparently, he needs our full, undivided attention to make him smile. Emma is so sweet...she tries to help the situation by playing peek-a-boo with him from her chair or say "da-da" or "bah-bah" or something... such a good big sis.

I really think the disposable diapers have hindered potty training because the kids don't feel the "wet"; but then, who would want to go back to the "stinking" diaper pails with cloth diapers? This coming from one who would have loved the "throw-aways". (ha)
Big girl,Emma!!
