Ten Months Old!!!

"Well, well, well... here I am again, reporting to you all I've been up to over the past month. I am still cruising around furniture fast in an attempt to get whatever Emma is playing with. She's pretty fast too, and also really good at moving whatever I've had my eye on. I'll have to work on getting even faster over the next few weeks. I stood up for a few seconds while not holding onto anything...I've done this a few times now. Mommy says I do a real good job til I realize no one's got me, and then I freak out.

"My teeth count is holding steady at 7...so I have the most adorable, asymmetrical smile right now. (Sidenote: All the ladies, young and old, seem to really dig it). Here's a new development- My temper has been flaring up at night sometimes... I lay in the corner of my crib on my tummy and rock back and forth, banging my head into the crib bars over and over while moaning. Mommy says this goes on and on throughout the night. Even I don't know why I'm doing it and have wondered if I might be turning into the Incredible Hulk or something. There's no rhyme or reason for my outbursts...some nights I'm quiet as a mouse. Apparently it is "highly frowned upon" when it occurs at 3 or 5am, so I'll try to do better.

"I have earned myself a few new nicknames... if I'm in a good mood and happy, they call me "Flay." (after Bobby Flay...the blonde, curly-headed, blue-eyed chef). If I'm angry...they call me "Badge." (this is for Badger, one of the most ill-tempered animals in existence. Apparently this nickname started back in my early days of acid reflux, and stuck).

"Mommy and Daddy can't quite get a handle on my hair...some days it's straight as an arrow on top, and other days it's pretty poofy. Especially in the back. Time will tell whether or not I inherited the curly-headed gene.

"Gonna go for now. It's naptime and this little Flay must go get his rest. Love to you all! Until next month!" --Caleb
