1. word meaning to celebrate an event, such as a birthday party.
2. word meaning a late night snack. Originating from James and Kaye Haynes, who often provided "party" for Adam and Amanda when they were little.
Above is a pic of Emma's first "Party." On Friday night, we let her stay up a little late to watch the video from the church musical last weekend. We ate super size soft warm pretzels. Yummy!!!
(after the party). ha
Truman: "Don't worry, Caleb. I'll keep the night watch. You go to bed."
Caleb: zzzzzzzzz
Truman: "Um....psst....Caleb? Do you ever get the feeling that we are being watched?"
(Truman is Caleb's stuffed animal dog).

Every year for Emma's birthday, I sew her something. A little keepsake she can have "from Mom, with love." :) I was feeling a little guilty that Caleb's birthday is on Wednesday and I hadn't sewed him anything yet. Since we're having a "The Little Engine that Could" party, I figured our little train conductor needed to have a hat. I went through my stash of fabric and found some old jean scraps. They were perfect! I found a tutorial online, and after a little time, voila!! All done. And I must say, he looks simply adorable in it.

I like the baby gates on the windows in Emma's room. =)
Caleb's hat is adorable -- Mom is so talented! Great family pic.
The Truman show makes me laugh out loud! I want a Party with the Haynes crew! That is awesome tradition! I can't eat a soft pretzel and not think of you guys.
